“On Wednesday’s we wear Pink,” and every other day in the month of October! Yes, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to show support to the women battling breast cancer and those affected by it, we opt to wear pink every day!

Statistics suggest that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.  According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers.  Awareness of this disease is as extremely important as early detection. Through screening, you can catch the disease when it’s most treatable.  That said, there are several fashion brands who have decided to launch limited-edition collections to help bring awareness and stand in solitude to find a cure.

Vera Bradley created limited-edition face masks, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated from now until the end of the year.

2020 has been a huge reminder that we are all in this together, and that are choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way.  The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer.  Having breast cancer is difficult, not only for survivors, but also for those close to them.  With that being said, a warm gesture, kind words, and emotional support is extremely important when you’re having a hard time.
