As the globe slowly and carefully gets back to normal the fashion world is already taking big steps forward. Get your wardrobe ready for a grand return of in-person fashion events making a comeback this fall. 

CFDA just announced a plan to have an in-person fashion week beginning in fashion month, September, with dates. And not only will there be a return of fashion week; the Met Gala is also back on this year. The Met Gala will be a smaller event following May 2022 usual big celebration. 

New York Fashion Week will begin on Wednesday, September 8th, and end on Sunday, September 12th. To conclude the fashion week extravaganza is an exhibition“In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” brought to you by the Met Gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. 

COVID health guidelines will still be in practice for each event. CFDA is giving designers the option to continue with virtual presentations however, CFDA is hoping for in-person show experiences once again. In a recent statement said by, Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, “ With current signs of progress in the pace of vaccinations and the strategic, gradual reopening and tangible reawakening of New York City, we look forward to a strong fashion season that celebrates the best of American fashion in both physical and digital presentation formats.” We look forward to the anticipated return of New York Fashion Week.
