Although the brand may be labeled House of Errors, their collections are anything but a mistake. And this is especially true for their latest drop, which can only be described as the most fashionable way to display a fictional trip around the globe.
Deemed “the most wearable passport,” we knew we had to take a closer look at this sensational collection that idyllically blends vintage inspiration with luxe fashion and a pinch of Boy Scout-esque designs.
Who is House of Errors?
If you haven’t yet jumped on the “House of Errors” bandwagon, we can honestly say you’re missing out on something truly sensational.
The brand, created by “Fully” from East London, is truly unlike anything else in the fashion realm. Fully focuses on cutting-edge pieces that defy the norm, in what many call “futuristic” and “exciting.” He proudly uses a mix of trial and error to create his one-of-a-kind collections, leaning into the brand’s distinctive name, House of Errors.
Although once a student of architecture, Fully realized his true calling at the beginning of his final year of schooling. It was then that he decided to purchase a sewing machine and design what he describes as “random things on sewing machines” that were once the latest craze among Instagram kids. His first, groundbreaking piece was a hoodie with teddy bears split down the middle – one representing the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other.
Since then, Fully has continued to make heads turn in the industry. Today, he focuses on creating more commercially accessible pieces that don’t slack on innovation or style. Many of his works draw inspiration from art deco posters from 1920s Russia, while others feature “inflated” or “puffed” styles that have become synonymous with the brand.
What Are the Materials?
Ensuring the latest collection is of the highest quality (which is on-brand for House of Errors), each piece is crafted by hand in the company’s London Atelier using 100% Italian cotton twill.
However, the top and bottom pieces are given their own fabulous craftsmanship to bring them together.
For example, the work jacket is designed with a two-way centre front zip for comfort and convenience, while the corduroy cotton collar adds that extra dose of posh. If that’s not enough to land this “travel-friendly” jacket an immediate spot in the opulent column, the interior is lined with quilted satin for that luxurious feel from the inside out.
On the other hand, the pleated shorts feature two front pleats, two back darts, two side pockets, and a back pocket that combines style with handiness.
How Many Pieces Are in the Collection?
This little slice of luxe travel features 14 summer pieces, including two essentials – a jacket featuring 36 embroidered tags and a pair of shorts with 22 tags – in two iconic colors, brown and navy.
For those who prefer pants, the collection also features a pair of wide-leg trousers in the respective colors, although these beauties don’t showcase the blend of expertly-placed embroidered tags we have come to know and love in this particular collection.
Have They Featured Vintage Before?
Although we can confidently say that the latest avant-garde passport attire is a glorious nod to vintage fashion, it’s not the first time House of Errors has shown their appreciation – and downright love – of vintage clothing.
In fact, House of Errors routinely finds creative fuel from vintagewear. Whether it’s their heavyweight knitted tops inspired by classic jerseys or their flared pants tapping into the essence of the 70s, it’s clear to consumers that House of Errors embodies the meaning of vintage charm.
