If 2017 owes any credit to a decade for giving it style, it’s definitely the 1990s. First, it was chokers, then band tees, and now Steve Madden has decided to revive its classically popular “flip-clock-flop” shoe. The chunky sandal gave you supermodel height, and ‘coolest kid swag’. It was the sister to jelly sandals; you just had to have a pair, and your popularity instantly went up.

What are you wearing this summer with your slides? A mini skirt and tube top, accompanied by glitter eyeshadow? Or maybe you’ll actually take a peek in your mom’s closet for those jeans? Whatever you wear, it’ll surely be head turning.

Steve Madden has made the 90s ‘it’ sandal available for purchase online (pre-order) here for $70, and it comes in women’s US sizes 4 to 12.
