The Khalifa cousins Noor and Haya have outdone themselves with their SS17 line, ‘Noon by Noor’. The NYFW show took place at The Skylight Carson in NYC, but before entering venue, a lounge of fashion socialites, bloggers, and influencers alike mingled excitedly anticipating the new collection. Once the lights dimmed-it was showtime!
Noon by Noor’s models ripped the runway in the theme of modern felinity through fluid silhouettes, iridescent embellishments and light textiles. There were also sheer layers, delicate draping and tone on tone accents. Noon by Noor’s SS17 collection paid serious tribute to a nostalgic romance.
The chosen color palette of fresh, pale pink, salmon, antique gold, luminous white, and black was also featured in the collection. As well as, a pale pink ranunculus print was equally soft, playful, with offsetting structured textiles in formal jacquard, micro lace and linen. Views of vintage from the collection range from: tulle inspired sleeves and skirts, slip dresses, and the timeless sweetheart neckline. We were left floored by these fine details this season- They’ve been officially #Modernstitchesapproved
